Temporary Ingate Suspension Between Los Angeles and Chicago and Associated Lanes

Dear Premium Customers,

On Monday, January 23, 2023, Union Pacific experienced a service interruption on our main line near Santa Rosa, New Mexico. We are anticipating that bridge restoration may not be completed for a few days. Correspondingly, temporary ingate suspensions will go into effect for the following lanes at 12:00 local time Tuesday, January 24, 2023, until further notice:

Eastbound Service (applies to domestic and international service, where applicable): 

  • All Mexico origin shipments via El Paso or Nogales destined to Chicago local (G4) 
  • City of Industry to Chicago (G1 and G4) and Chicago interchange destinations
  • ICTF and all shipments from the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles to Chicago local (G4) and Chicago interchange destinations
  • ICTF and all shipments from the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles to Council Bluffs
  • ICTF to Butler Intermodal Terminal 
  • ICTF and shipments from the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles to Kansas City
  • ICTF to TCIT
  • IEIT to Chicago (G4)
  • LATC to Chicago interchange destinations
  • STIR to Chicago local (G4)
  • Tucson to Chicago local (G4)

Westbound Service (applies to domestic and international service, where applicable):

  • Chicago local (G1 and G4) to City of Industry
  • Chicago local (G4) to ICTF and all shipments destined to the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles
  • Chicago local (G4) to IEIT
  • Chicago local (G4) to El Paso and Nogales interchange destinations
  • Chicago local (G4) to STIR
  • Chicago local (G4) to Tucson
  • Chicago local (G4) to all Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles marine terminals
  • Kansas City to ICTF and all shipments destined to the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles

Please continue to outgate all notified loads at the terminals noted.
