Tentative Labor Agreements Reached Averting Potential Work Stoppage

To Our Customers,
Union Pacific, along with the other nation’s freight railroads, have reached tentative agreements with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen Division of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (BLET), the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers – Transportation Division (SMART-TD), and the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS). These tentative agreements avert a possible work stoppage on Friday, September 16.
This morning, Union Pacific canceled the embargo on TIH, PIH and time sensitive commodities. We are working with customers to address any backlog of their shipments.
