Various Days of Service Frequency and Cutoff Time Changes

Dear Premium Customers,

Next week, Union Pacific will make certain intermodal service changes that will adjust service frequency for both international and domestic customers. In addition, there are multiple cutoff time changes to note.

Effective Tuesday, January 14, the gate cutoff for domestic traffic will shift from 19:00 to 11:00 CST for traffic in the following lane:

  • Chicago, Illinois: Global 2 terminal to Oakland, California

Effective Tuesday, January 14, the gate cutoff for domestic and international traffic will shift from 14:00 to 23:30 CST for traffic in the following lanes:

  • St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal to Portland, Oregon: Brooklyn terminal
  • St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal to Seattle, Washington
  • St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal to Oakland, California
  • St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal to Salt Lake City, Utah

Effective Tuesday, January 14 service frequency in the following lanes will change as noted below:

  • Long Beach, California: ICTF terminal to St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (international and domestic traffic)
  • Long Beach, California : ICTF terminal to Kansas City, Missouri will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (international and domestic traffic)
  • Oakland, California to Joliet, Illinois: Global 4 terminal will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (international only)
  • Oakland, California to Chicago, Illinois: Global 2 terminal will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (domestic only)
  • Oakland, California to Salt Lake City, Utah will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (international and domestic)
  • Oakland, California to Denver, Colorado will increase from five days of week to seven days of week (international and domestic) 
  • Los Angeles, California: East Los Angeles terminal to Salt Lake City, UT will increase from four days of week to five days of week (domestic only)
  • Los Angeles, California: East Los Angeles terminal to Denver, CO will increase from four days of week to five days of week (domestic only)
  • Salt Lake City, Utah to Denver, Colorado will increase from five days of week to six days of week (international and domestic)
  • St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal to Portland, Oregon: Brooklyn terminal will decrease from seven days of week service to five days of week (international and domestic)
  • Marion, Arkansas to Portland, Oregon: Brooklyn terminal will decrease from seven days of week service to five days of week (international and domestic)
  • Kansas City, Missouri to Portland Oregon: Brooklyn terminal will decrease from seven days of week service to five days of week (international and domestic)

Effective Wednesday, January 15, schedules for international and domestic traffic originating at Houston, Texas will elongate by 24 hours:

  • Houston, Texas to Joliet, Illinois: Global 4 terminal
  • Houston, Texas to Denver, Colorado
  • Houston, Texas to St. Louis, Missouri: Dupo terminal
  • Houston, Texas to Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Houston, Texas to Seattle, Washington
