Washout on Caliente Subdivision

To Our Customers,
Continued rains in the Southern California-Nevada area have caused another washout to the Caliente subdivision. The damage from washouts on the Caliente and Cima subdivisions earlier this week had been repaired and service was being restored to normal when the second washout occurred. As a reminder, this subdivision is part of our main route between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. Crews are in the area and anticipate that the subdivision will be back in service late Thursday. We will be rerouting trains when possible, but this latest interruption will cause additional delays. Shipments traversing this area should expect an additional 48- to 72-hour delay.
