Gulf Coast Rail Operations Update: Service Restored

To Our Customers,
Service is now restored to our main line network affected by Hurricane Laura (see map below). The following is an update on current conditions:
- Union Pacific-owned industry lead tracks in the affected area are expected to return to service by the end of the day today.
- Generators will continue to be used throughout the Lake Charles area until commercial power is restored at all locations.
- Embargoes remain in place for the impacted area. Please see our embargo page for detailed information.
- Customers with rail shipments moving through the impacted area should still anticipate delays in transit time as we work off the backlog of traffic holding from the hurricane outages.
