Posted Date: December 1, 2022

To Our Customers,

Union Pacific is pleased the U.S. Senate acted quickly to implement the tentative labor agreements, averting a strike and keeping our nation’s supply-chain moving.

All of the new collective bargaining agreements are based on the recommendations of Presidential Emergency Board 250. The new agreements include a 24 percent wage increase during the five-year period from 2020 through 2024 – the most substantial in decades, with a 14.1 wage percent increase effective immediately. The agreements also include five, $1,000 annual lump sum payments, adjustments to health care premiums, enhanced health benefits, an additional day of paid time off, and address several craft-specific issues, including issues relating to quality of life.

Thank you for your patience, your loyalty and your business.
