Union Pacific is pleased to announce the opening of our new international intermodal terminal in the heart of Phoenix. The new terminal provides customers with a sustainable rail option between ocean ports in the Los Angeles Basin and the nation’s fast-growing Southwest region.
The intermodal terminal was established in Union Pacific’s downtown Phoenix rail yard and was put into operation in an expedited timeframe to offer customers a solution in the Arizona market. Regional shippers and receivers in Arizona will have access to a fast, sustainable rail option to move products into and out of Southern California that is cost competitive and removes trucks from our nation's congested highways.
The new facility offers drayage support by Duncan & Son Lines, a family-owned logistics firm in Buckeye, Arizona. Duncan & Son Lines primarily focuses on international container drayage from the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.
