Service Interruption in Redding, California

Announcement Number: CN2018-26
Categories: General Announcements
Posted Date: July 27, 2018

To Our Customers,

Due to safety concerns related to a wildfire near Redding, California, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) has asked that we shut down our main line in this area. Although we have yet to experience damage to our track or structures and the fire is currently stalled about a quarter mile from the main line, a shift in wind can cause conditions to change quickly.

We remain in close communication with the CAL FIRE Incident Command for updates on the fire and the estimated time of reopening our main line. Right now, customers with rail shipments moving through this area can anticipate delays of 36 to 48 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience these delays may cause.

Please contact Customer Care & Support at 800-272-8777 or your Union Pacific representative with any questions. Thank you for your business. Medium | Redding Map
