What Happens When I Call the EAP Helpline?

When you call the EAP Helpline, you will be asked a few questions to help determine the best counseling or resource needs.

After the intake process:

  • Employees will be referred to a treatment provider or, if appropriate, provided a list of treatment provider options.
  • Family members will be provided a list of treatment provider options within their insurance network.
  • Please refer to agreement and nonagreement insurance benefits for more information.

Confidentiality is protected by state and federal law when accessing services unless disclosure is required by law. As a matter of professional ethics, the helpline and UP EAP staff are licensed professionals committed to confidentiality.
