Childhood Memories

Carlitos Martinez

My father worked for Union Pacific and growing up in the 1960s we (my mother and 9 brothers and sisters) would board the passenger train every summer from Pomona, Calif., on our way to Cheyenne, Wyo. I would spend the whole trip, 3 days, standing by the window outside of the lounge just watching the amazing landscapes as we rolled through California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. The mountains, lakes and open ranges provided great memories as did the different stations we stopped in!

Thank you Union Pacific for awesome childhood memories.
