The Love of Trains

I have ridden on trains since I was a little girl. My grandma would come all the way from New York State and I would ride the train back with her every summer. It was a memory I will never forget. When I heard about the steam program going on with Union Pacific, it was like a new candy store just opened and I was five years old again. My husband and I went to observe No. 844 in action in Ogden and I was lucky enough to be picked to ride the train to Wyoming. My husband followed along in his Porsche taking pictures out of his window, with me taking pictures of him following the train. It was totally awesome.

We then came to Cheyenne to tour the train station and the steam program shops. It was an experience made even better because of the kindness of the general manager of the steam program, who made it possible for my husband and me to have a personal tour. We left with so much excitement, you would have thought we were kids again.
