Train Ride with Granddad

My granddad George R. Smith was a conductor on passenger train for Denver to North Platte, Neb. I would ride with him on the train for a little way out of Denver, then he would take me up to the engine to ride with them for a few miles in the engine up to North Platte., and same way back to Denver. We would do this for a week each summer. That was a big deal for me to do this with my granddad. I was 8 years old.
