I was just a few months old during this trip, (maybe my mom had one of those onboard nurses I read about to help her with me)! My sister was also on the trip. She would have been 5. Can you imagine? My mom sure had her hands full for that train ride from Seattle to Texas. Seattle was where we were living, but I don't know for sure where she boarded this train.
