To Our Customers, 

July has been an exciting month at Union Pacific. We opened our Kansas City Intermodal Terminal (KCIT), launched a modernized Up.com website to better serve your needs, cutover Unit Train customers to Shipment Management and expanded our Industrial Development Focus Site program to include locations on our Short Line partners. Next week, we’re taking another big step forward with the debut of My Portal, a new customer landing page designed to give you quick, easy access to your most relevant shipping information. Before diving into the details of this launch, I want to highlight the continued strength in our service product.  

Our Metrics 
Our weekly service metrics for the week ending July 19, 2025, remain strong as we continue through the summer months. The strength of our service product highlights the dedication from the entire Union Pacific team and our commitment to provide the service we’ve sold our customers. 

  • Freight Car Velocity – 219 miles per day
  • Train Velocity – 19.6 miles per hour
  • Terminal Dwell – 20.5 hours

My Portal 
We value your business and are committed to delivering the best customer experience possible. Your feedback plays a vital role in helping us identify areas for improvement. My Portal is the latest example of how your insights are driving meaningful change. Starting next week, manifest customers who log in at UP.com will be redirected to our new customer landing page. 

When you first access My Portal, you’ll be prompted to select your preferred location, a quick step that enables a more tailored experience aligned with how you do business. We’ve placed critical tools and insights front and center, so you can act quickly without navigating across multiple pages. With real-time insight into shipment exceptions, Union Pacific helps you proactively address issues before they impact your operations. I am excited about how My Portal streamlines your experience and supports greater efficiency.

In addition to the new portal, you’ll notice updated navigation across the site. Applications are now grouped into three intuitive categories: Plan, Ship and Pay

While My Portal will initially be available to manifest customers, we’re excited to expand access to Intermodal and Automotive customers in November, along with multi-location capabilities for everyone.
