Precision Gating Technology (PGT) at Union Pacific Intermodal Ramps
How it Works
All drivers currently using our UPGo app and accessing a ramp that has PGT installed can take advantage of this new technology. See the help documents below for assistance.

What is PGT?
Precision Gating Technology (PGT) works with our UPGo app to "Fast Gate" — allowing drivers to bypass the kiosk upon entering our intermodal terminals. Using advanced "machine vision", PGT will scan your equipment and automatically begin the in-gate process and match it to a UPGo event.
Which Ramps Have PGT?
Since installing PGT at the following ramps, the average in-gate time has improved to less than 30 seconds on average.
- Chicago - Global 4
