Dear Union Pacific Customers,
Effective September 1, 2026, Union Pacific will be making the following updates to our pricing documents.
UP 4053
- Item 4180 - Miscellaneous Feed - Prices will increase $350 applied to large PRIVATE covered hoppers (capacity greater than or equal to 5,150 cubic feet). Large SYSTEM covered hoppers will be 10% more than the large PRIVATE covered hopper prices. Box cars and Tank cars will be priced the same as Large PRIVATE covered hoppers.
- Item 2900 - Canola & Nut Meal - The prices will increase $300 and will be applied to all prices for PRIVATE covered hoppers (capacity greater than or equal to 5,150 cubic feet). SYSTEM/FOREIGN covered hoppers will be priced 10% more than the PRIVATE covered hopper prices.
- Items 4014, 4015 and 4430 - DDGS & Gluten - The prices will increase $275, 4015 (DDGS) increasing $275 & 4430 (Gluten Products) increasing $250.
- Items 1020, 1030 & 1040 - Vegetable Oils - Prices will are increasing increasing $300. The increase will be applied to prices for mid tanks (capacity less than or equal to 27,499 Gallons). Large tanks (capacity greater than or equal to 27,500 Gallons) will be 8% more than the mid tank.
- Items 3400, 3440, 3480, and 3603 – Soybean Meal & Legacy Prices - Prices will be increasing $325, 3400 increasing $250, 3440 increasing $250, and 3480 increasing $250. For soybean meal (STCC 20923) the increase will be applied to all prices for large PRIVATE covered hoppers (capacity greater than or equal to 5,150 cubic feet). Large SYSTEM covered hopper will be 10% more than the large PRIVATE covered hopper prices. Small SYSTEM covered hopper (less than or equal to 5,149 cubic feet) will be 6% less than large SYSTEM covered hopper prices.
I5TF 1 Item 1050 and Item 1011
- For the Grain Products - Canola Meal (STCC 20939) group and MISC Feed group the increase will be $250, applied to all prices for PRIVATE covered hoppers (capacity greater than or equal to 5,150 cubic feet). SYSTEM covered hoppers will be 10% more than the PRIVATE covered hopper prices.
- For the Grain Products - OILS Group, the increase will be $300, applied to prices for mid tanks (capacity between 24,500 Gallons - 27,499 Gallons). Large tanks (greater than 27,500 Gallons) will be 8% more than the mid tank. For Grain Products - DDGS prices will increase $250.
- Increase prices in I5TF 1 Item 1011 by $300.
UP 4427 Item 1000 - Molasses
- Prices will increase by $350.
UP 17 Item 1000 - Cottonseed
- Prices will increase $350 with the increase applied to all prices for PRIVATE cars, SYSTEM cars will be 10% above PRIVATE cars.
