Ethanol Tariff Changes Effective October 1, 2026

Dear Union Pacific Customer,

Effective October 1, 2026, Union Pacific will implement the following changes to ethanol transportation rates and service requirements:

Rate Changes

For all published ethanol lanes:

• UP 2028 Item 1301 (Unit Train): Increase of $400
• UP 2028 Item 1360 (Manifest): Increase of $400

Unit Train Requirement

To qualify for rate authority under UP 2028 Item 1301 (Unit Train), shipments must be tendered with a minimum of 96 cars.

Shipments containing fewer than 96 cars will not qualify for Item 1301 rates effective October 1, 2026.
