There's been a lot said in the industry lately about our agreements with CN, which provide CN access to Mexico through Eagle Pass and expand our operating rights on the Elgin, Joliet, & Eastern Railway (EJ&E) in Chicago. I’d encourage you to read Todd Rynaski’s perspective on these agreements. As our Senior Vice President of Strategy, Todd explains how these initiatives will deliver meaningful benefits for customers, including a second direct Canada-to-Mexico routing option and reduced congestion in the Chicago gateway. These are real wins for you and for the broader supply chain. However, they do not replace the transformational benefits that a merger with Norfolk Southern will provide.
