Free Time
  • 24 hours Free Time starts at 0001 after day unit is notified.
  • If the unit is notified at the destination terminal more than six (6) hours later than the Ramp Storage Departure ETG (RSD ETG), the unit will receive an additional 24 hours of free time. Ramp Storage Departure ETG is provided at time of departure from the origin terminal. Ramp Storage Departure ETG information will be available via Track Shipments, storage reports and EDI 322 message (N9 field).
  • 48 hours Free Time starts at 0001 after day unit is notified.
Free Time & Storage Calculation
  • If an intermodal terminal is closed for an entire calendar day for any reason, that day will not be included in free time or storage charge calculation.
  • If an intermodal terminal is closed for an entire calendar day for any reason, that day will not be included in free time or storage charge calculation.
