GOOS operates a 55-mile line from Lakeview, OR to Alturas, CA for the Lake County and 60 miles of line from Alturas, CA to Perez, CA for Union Pacific Railroad.

History

Lake County purchased the Lakeview Branch when the Southern Pacific abandoned services in 1985. The railroad was operated by Great Western Railroad, Lake County, and other operators until GOOS commenced operations in September 2017. GOOS took over operations on the Union Pacific-owned line from Alturas, CA to Perez, CA in October 2017.
