Union Pacific and Builders FirstSource Lay the Groundwork for Growth in Colorado
Union Pacific is connecting Builders FirstSource (BFS), one of the nation’s largest suppliers of building products, components and construction services, to key markets as the company expands in one of Colorado’s fastest growing regions.
Located east of Denver at Rocky Mountain Rail Park in Bennett, Colorado, BFS' new rail‑served facility supports the region’s continued eastward growth. With Bennett quickly emerging as a hub for new housing and development, the site strengthens BFS’ ability to efficiently serve customers across the Colorado Front Range and beyond.
Rocky Mountain Rail Park – one of Union Pacific’s 45 Focus Sites – is a 620‑acre, rail‑served industrial park directly connected to Union Pacific’s main line and designed to support long-term industrial development. Earlier this year, the first rail cars were delivered to the site, supporting BFS’ expanding lumber, truss and wall panel operations.
