“Every railroader should be equipped to make decisions that benefit the entire network,” said Eric Gehringer, executive vice president-Operations.
Participants tackle real-world scenarios, practice field safety and sharpen leadership skills – from coaching teams to see the risk to connecting local decision-making to the goals that drive the company’s Safety, Service and Operational Excellence strategy.
“We’re building awareness to align teams and continue strengthening our safety culture,” said Rod Doerr, chief safety officer. “We need every team member to know what to look for and when to engage an expert.”
By combining classroom learning with hands-on fieldwork, Union Pacific is preparing today’s railroad leaders to meet tomorrow’s challenges – safely, confidently and collaboratively so we all Go Home Safe.
