After a Fitness-for-Duty evaluation is complete, HMS determines if the employee/applicant is Fit for Duty or Fit For Duty – With restrictions.

A work restriction assigned by HMS may include a requirement that the applicant/employee agree to ongoing monitoring of a specific health condition, with ongoing reporting of such information to HMS. 

HMS will notify the appropriate supervisor that an employee is Fit For Duty – With restrictions. The supervisor is then responsible for determining if the employee is able to perform the essential functions of his or her job with reasonable accommodation under the restrictions imposed by HMS.
