Dear Union Pacific Customers, Union Pacific will be making selective adjustments for the month of August in the UP 1195 item 100 & 200 tariff. Item 100 is the flexible pricing document that applies to potato & onion shipments originating from Eastern Idaho. Item 200 is the flexible pricing document for potato & onion shipments from Western Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. All rates are inclusive of fuel and are not subject to Union Pacific's carload mileage fuel surcharge program.

To Our Customers, July has been an exciting month at Union Pacific. We opened our Kansas City Intermodal Terminal (KCIT), launched a modernized Up.com website to better serve your needs, cutover Unit Train customers to Shipment Management and expanded our Industrial Development Focus Site program to include locations on our Short Line partners. Next week, we’re taking another big step forward with the debut of My Portal, a new customer landing page designed to give you quick, easy access to your most relevant shipping information. Before diving into the details of this launch, I want to highlight the continued strength in our service product.

Dear Intermodal Customer, The Union Pacific monthly intermodal fuel surcharge is 33% for the month of August 2025, effective August 1st, 2025. Please refer to our fuel surcharge page (user ID and password required) for future publication of our monthly fuel surcharge.

Price Announcement: UPRR 2952 - Shingles
Union Pacific has adjusted prices reflective of current market conditions for UPRR 2952 - Shingles. The new prices are effective August 1, 2025. Prices are increasing on average 7%, but increases may vary by lane. We will continue to analyze market conditions and reserve the right to adjust prices accordingly.

EMP/UMAX Empty Ingate Suspension: Tacoma South (TacSim) Intermodal Terminal
Effective Wednesday, July 09, 2025, at 0001 PT, Union Pacific's Tacoma South (TacSim) intermodal terminal will be suspending empty ingates for EMP and UMAX equipment. During this time, customers should direct empty ingates to the Seattle intermodal terminal. Empty ingates will resume at Union Pacific's Tacoma South (TacSim) intermodal terminal on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 0001 PT.
New Kansas City Terminal Begins Operations July 15
To Our Intermodal Customers: As a reminder, our intermodal terminal operations will transition from our current facility located at 4801 Gardner Ave in Kansas City, MO 64120 to our new terminal in Kansas City, KS (KCIT) located at 1810 Bayard Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66105.

Update to Union Pacific's Intermodal Terms and Conditions
Dear Intermodal Customer, We are pleased to announce an update to our Intermodal Terms and Conditions (ITC), effective July 1. Key revisions include:
UP 43 Tariff Changes Effective September 1, 2025
Dear Union Pacific Customer, Effective September 1, 2025, rates contained in tariff UP 43, Items 4150, 4600, and 5100 will increase by the following: UP 43 item 4150 increasing by $250, UP 43 item 4600 increasing by $250, and UP 43 item 5100 increasing by $200. The tank car increase will be applied to rates for mid tanks (capacity between 24,500 Gallons - 27,499 Gallons). Large tanks (greater than 27,500 Gallons) will be 8% more than the mid tank. Please utilize Union Pacific’s [Price and Document Inquiry System] to find specific lane adjustments. *All Published items will supersede this announcement. I5TF 1 Item 1050 and Item 1011 - Fall 2025/26 Rate Program
Dear Union Pacific Customer, Effective Sep 1, 2025, Union Pacific will update rates in I5TF 1 item 1050. For the Grain Products - Canola Meal (STCC 20939) group and MISC Feed group the increase will be $200, applied to all rates for PRIVATE covered hoppers (capacity greater than or equal to 5,150 cubic feet). SYSTEM covered hoppers will be 10% more than the PRIVATE covered hopper rates. For the Grain Products - OILS Group, the increase will be $200, applied to rates for mid tanks (capacity between 24,500 Gallons - 27,499 Gallons). Large tanks (greater than 27,500 Gallons) will be 8% more than the mid tank. For Grain Products - DDGS rates will increase $200.
